I have finally been able to watch Saw V today and I thought it would be the most boring of the Saw series. Jigsaw is dead and there seems to be nothing left about it. Then all of a sudden the game and puzzle starts again but who is doing it? Does Jigsaw have an accomplish? Will the accomplish be captured? There are certainly spoilers on this post so if you still want full suspense when you watch Saw V proceed with caution.

At the end of Saw IV we have seen Agent Peter Strahm (Scott Patterson) enters the room where Jigsaw died and shoots Jeff Reinhart (Angus Macfadyen) dead in self-defense. He is then locked in the room, but soon finds a hidden door that leads into a passage. Here a microcassette recording urges him not to proceed any further; ignoring it, he moves down the passage and is attacked by a figure in a pig mask. He then finds his face enclosed in a glass box which is slowly being filled with water. Courageous as he is Strahm cuts open his throat with a pen to let air in and he was eventually rescued.

He was then removed later on from the Jigsaw case but was not convinced that the killings was over. Agent Strahm believes that he has an accomplish. In this long search he will discover things and scenarios which everyone will be shocked to know. Why did the accomplish continue to do what Jigsaw is doing and how the two met?

  • Compared to the first four series this installment is not that bloody nor does it contain the necessary gore which is the strong point of the series. It was also the installment which received the lowest earning. Saw V only grossed more than 106 million dollars worldwide.

Special effects was not a major factor nor was the music which is in contrast to the past series these two had been the greatest known ingredient to be watched for in Saw.

Despite all of this the most interesting part is the ending. It shows the signature ending of every installment which puts you at the edge of your sit thinking why it happened that way and what if the other thing was done.

Surely everyone will anticipate Saw VI as they watch this one. The main question in the next part would be, "What's Next?" So not to spoil you dear readers please do watch this one and am sure you will agree that it is indeed worth watching.
