First of all thanks to GMA Channel 7 for providing a very good coverage of the Presidential and Vide Presidential proclamation of Noynoy Aquino and Jejomar Binay both on television and online through web streaming. If not for them I would not be able to provide you with this highlights.

So here are some key photos during the proclamation. Let us begin with the photo above which shows Dingdon Dantes, who might be the next Commissioner or Chairman of the National Youth Commission.

Erap Estrada Concedes.  Senator Jinggoy Estrada reads the official statement of his father and former President Joseph "Erap" Estrada.  It is also a statement of Erap conceding and congratulating President Noynoy Aquino (read related news HERE).

Yellow Fever.  The lobby of the joint session of Congress was flooded with color yellow and the supporters of Noynoy Aquino. The House allocated 30 seats each for Noynoy and Binay in VIP row lower gallery, 60 each on second floor.

Noynoy Symbols.  Who can forget the famous L or Laban sign and the famous acceptance speech of Noynoy Aquino. These two are embedded in the pictures below.

The Popular iPad. When I first saw this I thought it was Sen. Jinggoy Estrada, well there is a resemblance with the hair.  Thanks to Dan Gerald Gravela for pointing out that it was not Sen. Estrada but Commissioner Gregorio Larrazabal. Such a high tech gadget for a commissioner. Anyway enjoy your iPad!

Shalani and Ogie. Who would miss Shalani Soleded, the future first lady of President Noynoy Aquino decides to marry during his term.  For sure this will be the first time that a sitting president will get married.  Beside Shalani is the famous singer and composer, Ogie "The Pogi" Alcasid.

The Boring Congressman. Everyone was totally annoyed when Rep. Arthur Defensor spoke.  It seems that listening to him is just a waste of time.  I wonder if he is one of the cause why it takes so much time to pass a bill in congress. I am even thinking if including him in this post is a waste of time or worse an insult to my blog.

The Senators.  Sen. Juan Miguel Zubiri and Sen. Nene Pimentel's speeches are commendable.  I would best remember the two for two sentences they shared during the day.  " ...the legitimacy or illegitimacy rests on the credibility of the electoral exercise," says Sen. Zubiri.  Sen. Pimentel's, "Hail to the chief and blessed be his vice!" will surely be remembered.

The Directors.  The director of todays proclamation should also be remembered, one wants us to always be happy and the other wants us to always be sad.  Sen. Enrile is undoubtedly the friends of all texters while Speaker Nograles is undoubtedly the enemy of media for dumping the Freedom of Information Bill.

The Vice President.  An unexpected winner, that is how many people brand Jejomar Binay besides the fact that he is indeed the first Black Vice President of the Philippines.  Now let us see if the Philippines would indeed be like Makati.

The Box Office Family.  It was like a total box office hit when Jejomar Binay wins as Vice President and at the same time his son won as Makati Mayor and his daughter grabs a set in Congress.

The President. "President at Last!"  This seems to be the expression shown on President Noynoy Aquino's face as he climbs the podium for his proclamation.

Noy-Bi Proclaimed.  President Noynoy Aquino and Vice President Jejomar Binay are officially proclaimed.  Was it the endorsement of Sen. Chiz Escudero that made Binay win or was it the internal fighting within Aquino's camp?  Hmmm...

Sisters Act.  What will be the role of the Aquino sisters especially the most controversial among them Kris Aquino.  President Noynoy already said that Kris will provide fashion and style suggestions to him.  Is that all there is to Kris or could there be more?  Then what about her promise to go out of the country if her brother wins?  Well, forget about it.

People and Politicians.  Thousands of people was present within the join session of Congress and millions of Filipinos watch the proclamation both on TV and via live streaming.  One thing is for sure in all of our minds, "I hope that they will not be corrupt!"  The proclamation was held on a venue which house the most corrupt beings in the Philippines, although not all of them are corrupt.

The First Press Conference and the Jukebox.  Incoming President Noynoy Aquino made a very successful press conference except for the fact that he said,  "I am not a jukebox to keep repeating my answers."  This he told a foreign correspondent who asked a question to be answered in English. (read related story HERE)

The Aquino Presidency Countdown Begins.  The press conference ends, media interviews will follow, and then the formation of the new cabinet will commence.  In June 30, 2010, Aquino will be inaugurated and the next day he will begin his term as the 15th President of the Republic of the Philippines.

Congratulations President Noynoy Aquino and Vice President Jejomar Binay!
